The province reported 5,836 total cases to May 4, with the bulk of those being reported in Calgary.

Of those, 104 have died. Seventy-three of those deaths were of people 80 years old and older, tracking mostly to outbreaks at long-term care facilities.

The Calgary zone showed 3,905 cases or 67 per cent of all cases in the province.

As of May 4, 2020, Parkland County had one active case, and 13 recovered with no deaths. Spruce Grove has had seven cases, all recovered.
