While the COVID-19 crisis has caused arts in the area to close that does not mean that region residents have stopped being creative.
We have received photos from the community, heard about how art galleries and musicians have moved their work online and now have a standout poem from a local student for this latest edition of the news in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County and the nearby area.
Connor Firth is the writer and he is a Grade One student at Millgrove School in Spruce Grove. Here is what he said about Easter in a poem.
“Of course the Easter bunny hides eggs everywhere, even in my teddy bear,
Just like Pet the Cat, we decorate eggs to put in our bags,
We usually have Easter dinner at my babaa and Dee’s house and there’s not even a mouse,
We laugh and play, and we say yay!”
